Our approach to care is centred on the person and our relationship with the person, a focus on individual needs, care and support - to maintain privacy, dignity, independence and choice.
All our staff are trained professionally and qualified appropriate to their respective roles. In addition, they undertake regular development training to ensure they remain responsive and are able to meet the resident’s needs.
Plas Bod Llwyd’s philosophy is to provide an environment which is homely, inviting and comfortable. The aim is to enhance quality of life by providing a safe, manageable and comfortable environment, with support and stimulation to help maximise potential in all areas of physical, intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual capacity.
Independence is encouraged by allowing each resident to continue to help themselves to the best of their ability, but with the assistance of staff where necessary, enabling them to maintain a sense of fulfilment and well being.
Residents are encouraged to participate in a wider range of activities. A wide range of regular individual activities are offered, and all residents are encouraged to get involved if they possible can, and to make new friends.
Each resident has an individual care plan which is tailored to meet their specific needs; reflecting their individual strengths, interests and physical and emotional abilities. The plan takes into account any current or previous advice from Health Care professionals and is drawn up in consultation with each resident and or their representative as appropriate. All care plans are reviewed regularly and any changes are fully discussed, where possible with individual residents or their personal representative as appropriate.
“I consider it my good fortune to have found a home with such loving, caring staff and I am grateful for all they do”. Resident, 2016
